Just like many corporate work environments nowadays, your college may have wellness incentive programs available. Be sure to take full advantage—one of the best things about being a student is the free stuff, after all! Check out your campus health center or student life organization to see what’s available. Campus wellness programs can include recreational events or activities like trail rides, ski trips, or challenge courses—or access to maps and other information related to nearby outdoor activities like camping, canoeing, or fishing. In addition, check for free lectures or classes designed around wellness-related topics. These may include things like food documentaries, successful habit-building, or alcohol or drug use education. You may also be able to meet with a campus health coach or dietitian to talk about sleep, exercise, nutrition, stress or time management skills, and more; these experts can design custom plans to help you stay healthy.
