You wake up 12 minutes before your first class, throwing on the nearest (clean) clothes and rushing out the door with a piece of toast in hand. Sound like a typical day? While it may seem like this is just how things are for a busy college student with classes to get to and people to meet up with, you can make things run a lot smoother by setting a morning routine. To create this routine, simply allot a set amount of time (at least 10 minutes) each morning to do whatever will help prepare you for the day ahead. You can practice yoga stretches in your bed while your coffee brews, primp in the mirror while jamming to music, or review your schedule while scrambling eggs. Maybe you use your morning routine to get stuff done, like catching up on schoolwork, or to focus on yourself by taking a long shower or meditating. When you start the day on a positive note, you set the tone for the rest of the day.
