ATTEND A WORSHIP SERVICE

Whether you go to your place of worship every week, once in a while for major holidays, or, um, never, college gives you the space and opportunity to consider which path feels right for you, pursue any questions you may have, and form deep connections with your peers.

Most campuses (regardless of religious affiliation) have full weekend services and weeknight worship, prayer services, and daily devotion time. Each event is a little different, and may include music, silence, reflection, and/or liturgical texts. You’ll probably be able to choose from various service lengths, too, like an “open house” style (where you can stop by a campus place of worship anytime you want to for as long as you want) or a 60–90-minute formal service. It’s worth checking out all kinds of services to see which ones feel like a good fit. And if you’re short on time due to homework, or don’t have a ride to get to a worship location, you can even try out an online worship service!
