With her glue gun registered as a lethal weapon at the local PD, Shawn Gascoyne-Bowman is one of the few women in America who has successfully placed a restraining order upon herself. She teaches workshops in social media for artists in Portland, Oregon, hosts an afternoon comic club, and is a martyr of a mother. She has ten years’ professional cooking experience at the notable Colorado restaurants Q’s, the Brown Palace, and Jimmy Schmidt’s Rattlesnake Grill. In Germany, she worked as a pastry chef at the Dorint Hotel, and served breakfast to spies on behalf of the U.S. Army (no foolin’!). She dallied briefly in a promising East Coast film career, but decided to chuck it away to raise a demanding and ungrateful family and an ill-tempered dog. She worked for Martha Stewart for one day while living in New York. It didn’t go well.
