To my youngest and orneriest nephew Cody I bequeath my Silver Spur Ranch cattle operation and grazing range. A quarter million acres and 10,000 head of cattle are all yours—except for a bull’s-eye parcel of land, which will go to Callie Sheridan.

 

’Course I know how stubborn you are so I put a few conditions on this here inheritance. Should you refuse, the stipulation will reverse. Now I reckon that won’t sit well with you so I advise you to forget the past and get on with the courtship and weddin’. ’Cause either way Callie is going to inherit some of my land, and one way or another the two of you are going to be stuck together for all eternity.
