Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Ronald Olive spent thirty years in law enforcement, the last twenty-two with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS).
As a special agent, he worked criminal and CI investigations, counterespionage special operations, and terrorist issues overseas and in the United States; he also held senior management positions in the Washington, D.C. area. Mr. Olive was the primary architect of the first felony crimes major case response team, and he planned and implemented the first Systems Technology Protection Program for the Department of the Navy. During Desert Storm, he led a team of special agents into Italy and Crete on a Counter-Terrorist Surveillance Detection operation against threats posed by Saddam Hussein on Navy installations and personnel.
For these and many more accomplishments, Mr. Olive became the first recipient of the NCIS Counterintelligence Career Achievement Award. He holds a master’s degree in Administration of Justice and now runs his own Consulting and Confidential Investigations Company near Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Olive teaches for the Department of Energy Counterintelligence Training Academy and works with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Team Adam—Missing Child Rapid Response System.
