This is a different sort of novella in that it takes a long, long look at a much loved character from my dragon books, Drake Vireo. Drake was introduced in YOU SLAY ME, and like the love of his life, Aisling Grey, appears in almost all of the dragon books.
If you’re confused as to who Drake is, why a demon named Jim is in the form of a Newfoundland dog (be sure to check Jim’s short story, “Becoming Effrijim,” for his history), and who this Aisling person is who drives Drake close to break, then you’ll want to dive into YOU SLAY ME to start your dragon journey.
Because I have a deep and abiding love of Easter eggs, you’ll find several here. Feel free to let me know how many you caught, and if Drake’s history before Aisling explains his actions once he found her.
