Part II is intended to cover the shoot, the recording and the editing: the nuts and bolts of what you are going to have to do. Part I dealt mainly with radio and TV together. A lot of the research and pre-production phases are very similar. However, Part II will deal with the two mediums separately, since there is not the same overlap. Only in the chapter on sound and the chapter on interview techniques is there a significant amount of crossover. This part of the book also assumes that you have been through all the stages of your pre-production and that you have your production folder containing all your notes. You will need to keep all this together, as you will have to refer to it and add to it as you go along.
