Sweet Tea

The one and only official drink of the South!

4 cups water plus additional water to fill a gallon container

8 small (individual size) tea bags

2 cups sugar

Bring the water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add the tea bags and sugar and remove from the heat. Let the tea steep for 20 minutes. Remove and discard the tea bags and pour the tea into a gallon container. Add enough water to make a gallon and cool in the refrigerator. Serve over ice.

Makes 8 to 10 servings.
