Almond Iced Tea
Be careful when using the almond extract. One teaspoon might not seem like a lot, but it is very potent.
4 regular size tea bags
1 cup boiling water
1 ½ cups sugar
4 cups water
cup lemon juice
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 (32-ounce) bottle ginger ale
Place the tea bags in a heatproof container and cover with the boiling water. Let the tea steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags. Add the sugar, water, lemon juice, and almond extract. Place in the refrigerator to chill. Add the ginger ale when you’re ready to serve. Serve over ice.
Makes ½ gallon.
