Succotash

Growing up we always had corn and lima beans in our garden. The combination of these two vegetables is wonderful.

2 cups lima beans, fresh or frozen

2 cups whole kernel corn, fresh or frozen

1 cup milk

¼ cup butter

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

In a medium saucepan combine the lima beans, corn, and milk. Simmer over medium heat for about 20 minutes or until the vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. Add the butter, salt, and pepper. Stir well and pour into a serving dish.

Makes 6 servings.
