Homemade Chocolate Drop Candy
This is great to have on hand for the holidays to serve when unexpected guests drop by.
1 (7-ounce) jar marshmallow cream
1 ½ pounds (24 ounces) Hershey’s kisses, unwrapped
5 cups sugar
1 (13-ounce) can evaporated milk
½ cup butter
6 cups pecan halves
In a large bowl mix the marshmallow cream and Hershey’s kisses. Set aside. In a large saucepan combine the sugar, milk, and butter. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir and continue to cook for 8 minutes. Pour the sugar mixture over the marshmallow and chocolate mixture and stir until the chocolate is melted. Fold in the pecans. Drop by teaspoons onto waxed paper. Allow the candy to harden.
Makes 8 to 10 dozen candies.
NOTE: Store in an airtight container.
