Pecan Pie

Every Southern cook has to know how to make a pecan pie. Period. This is one of the best I have ever eaten.

3 large eggs

4 cup sugar

1 cup light corn syrup

2 teaspoons all-purpose flour

¼ cup butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 ¼ cups pecan halves

1 (9-inch) unbaked piecrust

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl add the eggs and sugar. Blend well using a whisk. Stir in the corn syrup, flour, butter, vanilla, and pecans. Pour into the piecrust and bake for 50 minutes.

Makes 1 pie or 6 to 8 servings.
