Tennessee Goo Goo Pie

Like the commercial says, “It’s good.”

½ cup butter

2 ounces semisweet chocolate

1 cup sugar

½ cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, slightly beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

¼ teaspoon salt

2 Goo Goo candy bars, chopped

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Grease a 9-inch pie pan and set aside. In a small saucepan melt the butter and chocolate over low heat. Add the sugar and flour and mix well. Remove from the heat and add the eggs, vanilla, and salt. Pour into the prepared pie pan and bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Sprinkle with the chopped Goo Goo bar and return to the oven. Bake for 10 minutes.

Makes 1 pie or 6 to 8 servings.
