Southern Pecan Pie Muffins

4 large eggs
1 cup butter, softened
2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups chopped pecans
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare two 12-cup muffin tins with nonstick cooking spray or paper muffin liners. Beat the eggs until fluffy, add the butter, and continue to mix. Add the brown sugar and flour and mix until the ingredients are just moistened. Fold in the pecans. Spoon the batter evenly into the muffin cups until each is full. Bake for 20 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from muffin cups.
Makes 24 muffins.
