Aiming and Firing
He aimed with speed and precision
The all-knowing eye of the gun peered into his soul
The dark circle of the muzzle commanded his attention
The gun's gaping eye bored into him
The barrel of his gun was a hungry cyclops
He sighted on screaming lips
He clenched his left eye shut and peered through the scope
The scope picked out the details of the target
His gun tracked the target, sighting in on the kill
Finger tensing on the trigger, he made the range at twenty yards
His crosshairs never left the target
His weapon never wavered
He watched her through the sniper scope
He drew a bead on his target
He took careful aim, knowing every shot had to count
She was caught in his sights
He sighted along the barrel, picking his shot
A red laser eye of death blinked open on his chest
He stared down in horror as his chest lit up with little red lasers
Through his scope, the hidden sniper saw everything she did
He had the target in his sights
He eased the safety off and braced himself to get a better shot
He thumbed the safety off and steadied his aim
The bastard leveled the muzzle of his gun against the child's head
He squeezed two quick shots through shattered glass
He snapped off another round just to make sure
His answering fire was high and wide
He launched another flesh-mangling round
He took them both in rapid fire
He squeezed off a careful shot and ducked back
One flick of the trigger finished it
She caressed the trigger
Her finger found the trigger and tensed
Four times his trigger finger tightened, blasting lead
He snarled as he pulled the trigger
His finger curled around the trigger
His finger grew tight on the trigger, tense for killing
He popped off a quick shot before ducking behind cover
He dodged and weaved, shooting blind
He closed the gap between them with one pull of the trigger
He rattled off three shots in rapid order
Five slugs sizzled the air
He flung the car door open and came out firing
His trigger finger stroked familiar metal
Screaming death shot from the metal eye like tears of lead
