Continuing to research universal topics that speak to all of us for this series is my absolute favorite thing EVER! That is what binds us all as writers and readers. The series themes consist of love/hate relationships with our family and friends, gentrification and urban sprawl, communities and individuals finding solutions for more tolerance in the world, and diversity. For Monkey Bread Business, I learned new information on the Prohibition and the nineteen twenties as well as some Krav Maga moves! Like I said in the last holiday book, Yuletide Cast of the Iron Skillet, history was never my best subject but I’ve been fascinated with studying the evolution of mafia and how they’ve changed and grown overtime. Agromafia is actually a thing and the Italian mafia has used some of their amazingly tasty olive oils to smuggle things other places!
Just like in Yuletide Cast of the Iron Skillet, another character was the real deal! Missy Smith has to be my biggest fan and I never in my life thought I’d say that. I mean, yeah, my mom is my biggest fan and so is my hubby. I’m just the okayest mom on earth for my eight little heathen kitty cats, though. But to have a person who I don’t know from Adam read my series and follow me on social media and send me gifts in the mail and chat with me—well, it’s a dream come true. It makes me feel SO much more important than I actually am. So, Missy, thank you! I love you! I stalk you on social media, too! I may be YOUR number one fan-slash-stalker!
