Javier
Two Months Later
We get to the marina, and I fill the Jet Ski’s compartments with food, water, and other supplies. I double-check that my gun is in my bag and set it next to the other items. I mentally go over my list and make sure I have everything we will need.
Gabriella stands on the dock and twists her hair up in a bun. She squirts sunscreen into her palms, sets the bottle down then rubs it into her arms and front of her body.
I lick my lips and realize I’m staring.
Stop drooling, dickhead.
It’s been five months since Triker’s last threat. Gabriella and I have been spending as much time as possible going out on the Jet Ski, and today is going to be a beautiful November day.
Twice, intel has set up a raid on Triker, but Chloe and I have come up empty-handed. Triker is never there, and it’s like he’s disappeared into thin air. It’s always a location that is empty. I’m starting to believe our intel is compromised, and I’m beyond frustrated.
These days at sea are both a distraction and a necessary break for both Gabriella and me, but today is going to be special, and I’ve been planning it all month.
I squeeze the bottle of lotion in my palm and massage it into her back.
She turns her head. “I’ve already trained you!”
I needed zero training to rub your body.
“Ha! Funny!”
I finish, and she shimmies out of her shorts and puts the lotion on her lower body then spins. “Your turn. Shirt off.”
I grin like an idiot then reach behind my head and slowly pull off my shirt.
Please say yes today.
She doesn’t start on my back but instead rubs it all over my chest and abs before moving behind me.
When she finishes, I give her a peck. “Thanks. Don’t forget your sunglasses.”
She reaches into her bag and pulls out a pair, then puts her life vest on, and I follow suit. I throw her bag in the watercraft.
It’s a relatively calm morning, perfect for riding. I hop on, and Gabriella sits behind me, holding tight around my waist. We go through the intercoastal and out into the Gulf of Mexico, around the entire island and cross the path to Longboat Key.
The corner of that island has an area with driftwood trees directly on the white sand beach. I pull up on the beach, and we get off and remove our jackets. It’s still early, and not many people are around. I open the hood of the Jet Ski and pull out a hammock.
We work together to tie the hammock to two trees and throw our towels on them.
“It’s like our own little world back here.”
“I’m sure it’ll get busier in the afternoon.”
“But right now, it’s all ours.” She giggles and strokes my cock.
I pull her into my arms and kiss her. “If only we could guarantee it would stay that way.”
“I can be sneaky.”
“Yeah, but can you be quiet?” I tease.
She smirks and goes over to the big piece of driftwood with seashells all over it. She walks to the edge of the water and picks up a few shells then sets them on the branch.
Several dolphins flip a few hundred yards out, and I grasp her hand and pull her into the water. “Let’s go see the dolphins.”
“You make it sound like they’re your pets.”
“That would be cool.”
We get farther out. The waves are small, and the bottom starts to drop off.
“I can’t stand,” she says and hoists herself on my back in piggyback fashion.
I tap my pocket to make sure it’s zipped, and the contents are secure.
A dolphin flips in front of us, and she shrieks.
I chuckle and rub my hands over her thighs.
For several minutes, we watch the horizon as the dolphins frolic and swim. When they leave, she slides around to the front of my body.
I cup her ass with one hand and stroke her back with the other.
“What do you do for the holidays? Do you ever go home?” she asks.
I shrug. “Not usually. My family is all over the place, and my parents tend to travel.”
“So, you’re all by yourself.”
“Yeah.”
“Okay. My mom wanted to know if we would be spending Thanksgiving and Christmas with them or if we were going to be traveling.”
“Tell your mom we’re all hers.”
She tilts her head.
“What’s wrong?”
“Do you ever see your family?”
I wrack my brain, trying to think of the last time I saw any of them. “I haven’t seen my brothers in over two years. I don’t know when they will return from overseas. I saw my parents last February.”
“Do they ever come here?”
“They travel a lot. I had to go to D.C. for work, so I had dinner with them.”
“Hmm.”
“What’s the hmm for?”
“I don’t know. It’s kind of strange. You know my family so well, but I don’t know yours.”
“We can go to D.C. and meet my parents soon. I definitely want you to know them. Once my brothers are back in the States, we can visit them, too.”
“Yeah?”
“Sure.”
“Will they like me?”
“My brothers will drool over you, and my parents will love you.”
“Ha, ha!”
“I’m not joking.” I kiss her. “You’re sexy as sin and sweet as sugar.” I reach into the water, unzip my pocket, and pull out a diamond ring but don’t show it to her. “And since the first moment I saw you, I couldn’t think of anyone except you. Every breath I take, I think of you. At night, when I dream, it’s of you. During the day, when I’m working, all I want to do is come home and be with you.”
She teases, “Sounds like you’ve got an obsession with me.”
I peck her lips. “I’m completely obsessed and in love with you, and that’s why I want you to be my wife.”
She freezes then puts her hand over her mouth.
I hold out the ring. “Will you marry me, Gabriella?”
“Really?” she whispers, and a tear rolls down her cheek.
I brush my lips against hers again. “Yes. I want to be with you forever.”
She nods.
“Is that a yes?”
“Yes,” she cries out then kisses me like I’m the only man on earth.
I pull back. “Put this ring on before I lose it in the water.”
She holds out her hand, and I slide the ring on her finger, and she continues to kiss me without even checking it out.
Heat scorches through my body. “Are you going to look at your ring?”
“Mm-hmm,” she says but circles her tongue in my mouth while gyrating her hips on my growing erection.
This woman is going to be my wife.
I’m the luckiest guy on earth.
We make out for a long time and finally go back on shore and lie in the hammock. There are a few people on the beach but not many. The place we chose is quiet and a tad secluded.
Gabriella is lying in my arms and staring at her ring.
“It’s beautiful and exactly what I would have picked out.”
I do a victory pump in my head. “Good. I want you to have something you love.”
She turns her face right next to mine. “I do love it, but I love you more.”
My face hurts from the perma-grin that’s been there since she said yes. “When do you want to get married?”
“After the holidays. What do you think about March? Nothing happens in March, and it’ll give us something to celebrate then.”
“I’m good with that. What kind of wedding do you want? Big? Small? Inside? Outside?”
She strokes the side of my head. “I wouldn’t want a big wedding but bigger than Beckett’s.”
“Didn’t he only have your siblings?”
“Yeah. My mom is still mad.”
I snort. “I bet.”
“I want your family there, too. But what do you want?”
I kiss her. “You to have the wedding of your dreams. As long as you show up and say yes, I’m the happiest man on earth.”
“That’s all I have to do, huh?”
“Yep.”
She rolls on top of me with a mischievous expression, unties my shorts, and pulls the towel over her back. “I think I need to practice my wifely duties.”
“Is that so?”
“Mm-hmm.” She pulls her bikini bottom to the side and slides on my hard-on.
“Fuuuuuck,” I mumble as I fill her wet heat.
“Shh. People are walking this beach,” she whispers near my ear and sucks on my lobe.
This woman is the devil.
And she’s mine.
I embrace her, and she rocks her hips into me. “Are you going to be able to stay quiet?” I lick the spot on her neck that drives her crazy.
“Oh...yeah...” she breathes.
I bet you won’t.
She licks my shoulder then sucks on it and drives her hips faster on me.
The hammock starts to swing, and the tree creaks. I slide my hand between us and play with her clit.
She whimpers into my neck then locks her hands in my hair and kisses me with a shaky lip.
I shove my tongue into her mouth and hold the back of her head firm.
“Oh...” she mumbles into my mouth. Her body trembles against mine.
“Feel good, baby?”
“Yeah...oh...”
“Shh,” I whisper and kiss her with fervor, circling her faster.
“Jav...oh...oh...”
“Don’t stop moving, baby,” I murmur as her insides grip my cock. I pull at her bun, and her soft, blonde hair falls on both sides of my face.
The heat from her flesh pushes against mine, and sweat breaks out on our torsos.
“Please,” she breathes. “Oh God...please,” she begs me and swallows hard, closing her eyes.
The waves crash against the shoreline and seagulls squawk in the sky. The two trees continue to creak.
I bring her to her peak and over the edge.
“Oh...oh...oh,” she loudly cries out.
“Ride me like that,” I growl as she rides me harder through her orgasm.
I take her from one climax to another, not removing my fingers, expertly playing her body like I’ve mastered over the last five months.
“Javier,” she whimpers into my neck. It’s a sound so sweet, all I’ve wanted to do since I first heard it is play it on repeat all day.
“I have you, baby.”
She circles her hips faster, desperate for another climax.
Testosterone races through my veins. I sit on the edge, ready to fly. With every pulse, every throb, every moan Gabriella makes, I’m in heaven.
“I love everything about you,” I murmur to her.
Her mouth re-forms an O. “I love...oh...oh...oh...” Her blue eyes roll, and she trembles so violently against me, she sends me into my own orgasm and collapses on my chest.
I grip my arms around her, in paradise, having no doubts about my love for her or desire to spend eternity with her.
“You’re my heart and soul,” I murmur in her ear. “I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you as my wife.”
She puts her hands on my face and kisses me so intensely, I harden inside her, and she rides me again.
We spend hours in the hammock, listening to the water crash on the sand, whispering our love and affection for the other, and in our own world where no one else exists.
When the sun is beginning to set, we pack up, ride out to sea, and watch it from the water. She holds onto me, and everything in my life feels complete. It’s as if there was always a missing piece, and she is it.
The entire day, I spent lost in her, not thinking about Triker, his declaration, or the Twisted Hearts. But when we get back to shore, reality hits me that my Gabriella is still a target, and I need to hunt smarter and quicker to find Triker and eliminate any possibility of Gabriella not being safe.
