Acknowledgments

THERE ARE SO many moving parts in publishing a book that, at times, it can become almost overwhelming. Three ladies—Charleen Cox, Teri Edney, and Sarah Mick—always keep me on target, motivated, and focused. They are my muses, my beta readers, my harshest critics, and biggest supporters. They are at the top of each one of these acknowledgment pages, because they deserve to be there. Without even one of them, I would not be where I am today, and most of my stories would still be ideas niggling the back of my brain. These ladies mean the world to me, and I owe them more than I will ever be able to repay.

There are also others who make these stories happen and readable, like Katie Weisenberger, who edits each and every story, sometimes under a major deadline. Also, the Scribblers, a group of authors who share ideas, war wounds, and laughter, each encouraging as, together, we try to navigate these murky waters of marketing and publishing. Then, there are my Rascals on Facebook who attend my events, share my stories with the world, and keep me smiling. This group has meant more to me over the years than any of them could ever know, and I’m glad each and every one of them are along for the ride.

As always, I need to thank my family, my children who are always supportive, my parents, who are constantly asking if I’ve made millions yet, and those close friends that are like family who listen to me rattle on about the worlds in which I live. Never has one man had so many supporters, and I know how valuable that is and cherish them all. Thank you. You have each kept me at the keyboard and made sure I had moments apart from it to live. I hope I have made each of you proud.
