Cynthia C. Muchnick was born and raised in Marin County, California. She pursued her undergraduate degree in Art History and Political Science at Stanford University where she met her husband, Adam Muchnick. After completing college, Cindy moved to Chicago where she began her career in college admissions at the University of Chicago. Cindy and her husband relocated to Florida where she earned her masters degree in Liberal Studies, taught tenth grade history, and wrote her first book, Will You Marry Me? After the overwhelming success of her first book, Cindy wrote a follow-up book, 101 Ways to Pop the Question.
Cindy is proud to be dubbed an Engagement Expert and Coach. She has appeared on dozens of talk shows and news programs including Leeza, Sally Jesse Raphael, Donny & Marie, Fox News, Good Day LA, Good Day New York, and many others. Cindy also worked as a columnist and spokesperson for Honeymoon Magazine and freelanced for Coast Magazine. Her educational publication, The Best College Admission Essays, is a how-to book for high school students going through the college essay writing process.
