LINCOLN MALL

MATTESON, IL
1973–2015

Visiting the mall as child was about one thing: freedom. Going to the mall in the late 80s and early 90s was one of the most exciting events because it meant that my mom would let me and my older brothers go off on our own. We would work our way through stores like Camelot Music and The Disney Store. We would be lookouts for each other while we looked at all the half-naked posters at Spencer’s Gifts. We would snag more than our fair share of free samples from the food court and then run out the clock at the arcade where our mom would meet up with us. I loved going to the mall.
