It may seem like a cliché, but patience really is a virtue. Stories of people losing 15 pounds in two weeks on keto can be extremely motivating, but they can also be disheartening, especially if you’ve been following the diet for a month and you’ve lost 8 pounds (which is a great amount of weight for a month, by the way!).

But don’t let things like this discourage you. Keto works for the large majority of people, as long as they stick with it. Don’t undereat or think you need to deprive yourself in a race for results. And don’t give up if you aren’t reaching your goals as quickly as you envisioned. Trust that there’s a lot of science behind this way of eating and continue on.
