Lance’s Own French Toast

When my young son, Lance, helps make this French toast, he knows the order to add the ingredients and how much to measure out. An avid cook, Lance calls this one of his specialties!

4 eggs

1 cup 2% milk

1 tablespoon honey

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon pepper

12 slices whole wheat bread

Sugar and additional ground cinnamon, optional

1. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, honey, cinnamon and pepper. Dip bread in egg mixture; cook on a greased hot griddle 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

2. Cut into decorative shapes and sprinkle with sugar and additional cinnamon if desired.
