My simple asparagus dish is a tasty side that goes well with pasta or with grilled steak, pork or chicken.

1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1. Place the asparagus in an ungreased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. In a small bowl, combine vinegar, oil, salt and pepper. Brush half of the mixture over asparagus.
2. Broil 4 in. from heat 8-10 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. Brush with the remaining mixture.
