Being calm can be challenging especially if you live or work with a person who is sadistic and likes shooting his or her disturbances to you. When a person is projecting their angst to you, you should be the better person and avoid engaging them. You can give them back their mess and let them deal with it personally. This will not only leave you calm, it will also help them deal with their problems and eventually feel better.
It is wise to avoid being suckered or becoming a receptacle of someone’s worse characteristics. Make sure that you stay off other people’s business unless it is a person who is in dire need of your help.
Detaching yourself from other people’s messes does not mean that you become a jerk and never help out when needed; just learn when help is really needed and when the other person just wants to suck you in into his or her regressive problems.
