Love is a feeling, a state, an energy. It is available to you at all times because it is a flow of energy that moves through the Universe. You can always “surf the wave of love” that’s at your disposal. For human beings, what most often gets in the way of love isn’t circumstances and people and events, it’s the human mind.
Humans are the only animals that conceptualize and analyze their own existence so much that they have the capacity to create problems that don’t really exist. The human mind can, in this way, be the biggest block to love and happiness. Relaxing and silencing the mind regularly through meditation can help you avoid the common human static of over-analysis and distraction and stress that keeps so many people blocked from feeling and experiencing love.
Try calming your mind for just five minutes a day to begin with. Find a quiet, private place to sit in silence for a little while, breathing deeply and letting thoughts and worries float away. Over time, this will help you stay in a more positive frame of mind—helping you live in a state of love.
