All the way back to the ancient Greeks and other wondrous societies, philosophers, artists, and thinkers have been pondering and writing about love—what it means, whether it really exists, and if so, how to experience true love. Today there is an array of books and websites on dating and romance available to you to read and explore.
My advice to you is this: In all honesty no one needs to teach you how to love or be loved—it’s who you are! You were born with the ability to love and be loved. Tidy away the “dust bunnies” of negative perceptions and energies you’ve taken on in life and you will begin to realize this. In fact, trying to “figure out love” intellectually can just create a whole lot of extra stress in your life.
The simple way to do it is this: Think about a time in life when you felt the most blissfully loved and loving. Connect with that feeling and let yourself sense it in your whole body. Got it? OK, good—now use that feeling as your compass to love. When a person, situation, book, meeting, place, idea gives you an inkling of that feeling, follow it! Love lives there. In some way this thing you’ve happened upon relates to bringing you love. That’s all you really need to know. The rest will unfold effortlessly with this approach.
Set your compass and follow it, and your innate system will do the rest. Remember, you were born to love and be loved!
XOXO
