Oh My Goodness the wedding was perfect even though I didn’t plan it. Anthony had made sure everything went perfect. The colors were my favorite, and they even matched my wedding dress. The flowers for my bouquet were even yellow and peach. He even had officers from the force come to help fill the seating, since neither of us had many family to fill the seats. The reception was great until Luke decided he wanted to make out with the flower girl, the girl from his child development class that he has a major crush on.
After the wedding Anthony had us leave in style, a limo. We headed to the airport where we are going to honeymoon in Vegas, where he chased me home from and if it hadn’t been for him Josh, Brett, and Jeff’s little side adventures would have kept going on unnoticed. Hopefully it will be more memorable than the last time. I’m definitely not going to leave this time without Anthony.
We land in Vegas and its still early evening. On the flight we flew first class, thankfully Anthony brought a change of clothes for both of us in the limo, so we changed on the way to the airport. At first I was a little bit shy about changing in the limo since the glass was only tinted, but Anthony covered the glass with his jacket and waited for me to finish changing before he moved it. I really love this man, he is so respectful of who I am and what I need.
We ate dinner in flight, it was a nice roast beef with diced potatoes and carrot slices. For once there wasn’t a hint of celery in the roast, it seems that every recipe I find calls for celery or celery seasoning in the roast and it just makes it taste like dirt. They served it with a butter roll as well as a choice of drink. Anthony had a beer with his dinner, and I had a glass of sweet tea. The tea at the wedding had been good, but on the plane it had been horrible. It tasted like dirty sock water.
When we make it to the hotel I’m exhausted from the day’s events and can’t believe that Anthony has rented the same penthouse as we had those months ago. He pulls me inside to check in with him and the clerk looks at the two of us to enter us in the register.
“Mr. Sharp and guest?” The attendant says questioningly.
“No, Mr. and Mrs. Sharp.” Anthony corrects him and the attendant raises his eyebrows.
“Penthouse, right.” The attendant confirms.
“Correct.” Anthony sounds a bit frustrated with the attendant.
“Two keys?”
“YES! The usual that I get!” Anthony is really angry this is the first time that I’ve ever seen him this angry.
He’s scared the attendant and apparently another person had walked in as he was fussing out the attendant. It’s a Vegas cop too.
“Excuse me, ma’am, are you okay?” What the fuck. The officer asks me.
“I’m fine officer.” I say to the cop who has one hand resting on his sidearm. “I’m just tired and want to get to our room.” I explain to the officer.
“Sir, what is the problem?” The officer addresses Anthony.
Anthony turns to the officer and says, “Usually when I come and check in the attendant takes my name and verifies my reservation. Tonight, my wedding night, he’s giving me the grill about everything.”
“Sir, is there a problem?” The officer asks the attendant.
“Well, the last time the two of them were here, she left suddenly alone, and he had to get a ride to the airport. I think she was here against her will, and I just don’t want her to be in trouble, officer.” The attendant explains to the police officer nodding his head in my direction as he says her.
“Is that true?” The officer asks the two of us.
“Well, there was a misunderstanding and I left, yes. But, I wasn’t here against my will. Now I am here totally of my own fruition.” I tell the officer about our last adventure here.
“It’s our wedding night officer, I just want to take my wife to our room and make love to her. I understand that you are doing your job, and I respect that.” Anthony tells the officer.
“How do I know you didn’t just tell her to say that she’s here of her own will?” The officer counters Anthony’s reasoning.
“Well, my wedding was witnessed by at least fifty of my brothers and sisters in blue back in Texas.” Anthony finally retorts back he’s done with the bullshit.
“Oh, sorry officer, I didn’t know you were also a brother in blue. You have a nice night. And congratulations on your wedding Mr. and Mrs. Sharp.” The officer says to Anthony and myself as he backs up to where he was originally sitting.
What a way to start off the honeymoon. We finally get the keys to the room. The taxi driver helps us with the couple of bags that we have and then he leaves. We head up to the penthouse, nothing has been changed since the last time we were here. I never got a chance to see the bathroom, and tonight I want to take a shower with my husband.
