Strawberry Shortcake in a Jar

This reminds me of a tea cake that would fit in a secret garden in a childhood story. Like in any fairy tale, if you look closely, you’ll find something new every time. On this little jar is an etched strawberry, right smack in the middle, but easy to miss upon first glance. It is as tiny as it looks and is the cutest treat for those who believe.

INGREDIENTS

6 mini vanilla wafer cookies

1 cup thawed whipped topping

½ cup sliced strawberries

DIRECTIONS

1. Place 3 vanilla wafer cookies on the bottom of each jar.
2. Add ¼ cup of the whipped topping to each jar.
3. Divide ¼ cup of the strawberries, the remaining ½ cup whipped topping, and the remaining ¼ cup strawberries between the two jars.
4. Chill for 1 hour before serving to allow the vanilla wafers to absorb the whipped topping.
