Welcome to the wonderful world of wikis. If you’ve picked up this book, it’s probably because you already have some familiarity with wikis and want to learn a bit more about how other people have implemented and use them, or it’s because you’ve heard the term being used and want to learn just what all the fuss is about. I hope that whichever case fits, you will find answers in the pages that follow.

Along with advice on choosing and implementing a wiki, my aim is to help you use an organic process to grow your own wiki that will become a valuable asset rather than just another “technology fad” that is put in place but never reaches its potential.
