I can’t even put down in writing which of my suspicions is most urgent,²⁶⁴ but it seems to me that in these past few weeks I’ve seen the danger that looms over humanity—to which most people are utterly unaware. But this menace is of such nature that all people of goodwill must begin the fight against it, regardless of which creed or country they belong to.
