Restaurants

This wealthy part of Italy has more than its fair share of restaurants, from tiny, intimate spots to a cluster of grand Michelin-starred affairs, so you will certainly not be short of a place to eat. Many ingredients are locally sourced, with excellent lake fish. The most difficult part is simply deciding where to dine. Opening times are generally lunch (pranzo) 12/12.30pm–2/3pm and dinner (cena) 7.30/8pm–10pm. In main towns and resorts, restaurants may stay open later – this is often the case with pizzerias (most of which open evenings only). Menus at lunchtime are frequently cheaper and lighter than those offered in the evening.
