Accept the Things You Cannot Change
How does it help?
There are some things that you cannot change, no matter how hard you try. Practice self-care by letting go of what is out of your control. Acceptance is not defeat but rather the recognition that it’s time to choose another, better path. Letting go is hard and stressful, but CBD can soothe your nerves and help usher in acceptance.
How to:
- Take some CBD and get out a pen and paper. Write down everything that you’re upset about. It can be on a small scale, such as something your spouse did. Or it can be grand in scale, such as an environmental disaster.
- Look at each item and identify what you can change. For example, you could reduce your own environmental impact. Make a plan to put those changes into action.
- Then identify what you cannot change. For example, you can’t control how the rest of the world lives. Focus on what you can control, such as expressing love to your friends and family, how well you do your job, and more.
