Accept Criticism

How does it help?

Take the time to better yourself by accepting constructive criticism with an open heart and mind. Research shows that CBD can lower stress and the fight-or-flight response, which can help you stay grounded and consider feedback from a level state of mind.

How to:

  1. The next time someone criticizes you, step back for a minute before reacting. Take some CBD to help calm down and focus on the critique.
  2. Be brutally honest with yourself. Is this person trying to bring you down? Or do they care about you and are they only trying to help? Look at your internal reaction to the criticism. Can you separate facts from emotion? Scan your emotional reaction to see if you are trying to rationalize your mistake or make excuses. Both are unhelpful. When you view the matter as an impartial witness, is the feedback helpful? Can you benefit from it?
  3. Ask the other person about the criticism. Listening to the “why” can take away the sting, and even provide useful feedback so that you do better next time.
