REV. DR. SAMUEL Rodriguez is the president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC), the world’s largest Hispanic Christian organization with over forty thousand US churches and over 450,000 churches spread throughout the Spanish-speaking diaspora. Rodriguez was named among the “Top 100 Christian Leaders in America” by Newsmax in 2015 and nominated for Time’s “100 Most Influential People in the World” in 2013. Rodriguez is regularly seen on CNN, Fox News, Univision, and PBS, and he has been featured in Time, Christianity Today, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal.
Rodriguez was the first Latino to deliver the keynote address at the Martin Luther King Jr. Annual Commemorative Service at Ebenezer Baptist Church; was a recipient of the Martin Luther King Jr. Leadership Award presented by the Congress of Racial Equality; and was a recipient of the Defender of the Dream Award presented in 2016 by Alveda King and the King family. Rodriguez has advised Presidents Bush, Obama, and Trump, and he frequently consults with Congress, advancing immigration and criminal justice reform as well as various pro-life and religious freedom initiatives. On January 20, 2017, with millions of people watching around the world, Rev. Rodriguez became the first Latino Evangelical to participate in a presidential inauguration, reading a passage from Matthew 5.
Rodriguez is executive producer of two films (Flamin’ Hot and The Impossible) in partnership with Franklin Entertainment and 20th Century Fox. He likewise serves as cofounder and lead pastor of TBN Salsa, an international Christian-based broadcast television network. He is the author of Shake Free, as well as Be Light, a Los Angeles Times number one best seller.
Rodriguez serves as Senior Pastor of New Season Christian Worship Center in Sacramento, California, where he resides with his wife, Eva, and their three children.
