Let’s Cook

It’s time to start cooking. You know everything you need to know to cook delicious meals in your Instant Pot, and to produce food in your own kitchen that will rival what you can get in restaurants. If you can chop, mix, blend, stir, and press buttons, you can make these recipes. None of them call for complicated techniques. Children as young as ten years old have made many of these recipes with success. Children under two years old have eaten these with great enjoyment—as pictures I’m sent of sweet little faces smeared with butter chicken often remind me.

Remember that you know your family’s tastes better than I do, so if you know they will hate a particular ingredient (hello, cilantro!) or that an ingredient might be too spicy for them (good-bye, cayenne!), change it up to personalize the dish. I am told that I use less salt than many others. Add more or less to suit your tastes.

Finally, keep in mind that when you make these recipes, you’ll not only have better-tasting, more authentic, more nutritious food at home, you’ll also be saving a lot of money. In just three or four meals, the savings will be enough to justify buying another Instant Pot! If you’re looking for a reason to become a two-pot household, now you have it. You’re welcome.

Let’s use our Instant Pots to explore the varied world of food that awaits us!
