1 Working in a heart shape, apply a basecoat of goldenrod to the face using a sponge.

2 Add brown on the eyelids with a sponge and drag it out a bit to blend and create the appearance of fur. Apply the same color around the outer edge of the face, again dragging the sponge to suggest fur. Use the edge of the sponge to add the brow and nose wrinkles and shade under the eyes.

3 Using a sponge, apply black fur strokes right over the brown at the outer edge of the face. Use the edge of the sponge to fill in the brows, then paint the werewolf’s nose on the tip of the actual nose as well as beneath it to extend the nasal cavity and create the illusion of a snout.

4 Paint the fur using a no. 3 round and black, dragging the brush from the outside in toward the face. Define the wrinkles, teeth and nose with thin linework.

5 Whiten the teeth and add highlights to the nose using a no. 3 round. Black in the ears and neck with a sponge to complete the look.
