15. Cultivate Connections

Affirmation: “I am made of universal love. I embrace my interconnected self and let it bring me joy.”

Your spirit is what gives you life! It’s your slightly indefinable essence that is at once universal and uniquely yours. However spiritual you consider yourself to be, you are spiritual. We all have a spark of the universal, sacred, and divine in us.

To enhance your bliss you need to cultivate a connection with the divine within you. It is glorious and vibrant. It is part of who you are. It’s the electromagnetic energy that is woven through you and the entire universe that surrounds you. Everything is connected by an amazing matrix of energy. This is why you sometimes know who is about to call before it happens. It’s why you can sense what others are feeling. Connection is something to be confident in even though you can’t see it with your physical eyes.

Your connection to universal life force is something you feel. Universal life force is often called chi, manna, or ching, as well as energy or universal love. It flows through us all and through everything. It is self-regulating and self-correcting, and that is our natural state. The more we cultivate confidence in our universal, divine essence, the more bliss we can feel and the healthier we will be.

Exercise: You Are Universal Love

When you connect with the reality that you are made of universal love (and we all are), then you begin to feel the interconnected truth of your world. Today’s challenge is for you to embrace interconnection. When you are out and about today, take a few minutes to feel the interconnection of all life. You might do this while out in nature, when walking the dog, or during day-to-day activities.

Tune in to the connections all around you. Notice the sights and sounds. Can you hear animals or traffic? Do you smell food cooking or the earth after a rainstorm? Concentrate on what you’re experiencing with each of your senses and identify as much as you can. Feel it and notice if it makes you happy, uneasy, apprehensive, elated, neutral, depressed, joyful, or peaceful.

Make some notes, keeping the following questions in mind: Where were you? How did interconnection feel? How did you feel?

Allow yourself to feel universal love and interconnection each day. Notice how you become more attuned to your heart when centered in your environment.

Heart connection brings meaning to life and spirit to body. #joyfulliving101
