Cake

I’ve been a good girl for a while

So I’ll respond to your smile

As you signal to me from your place on the shelf

Reminding me of your taste, your smell

You say to me, what’s the harm

You have to admit I have charm

I entice your tongue with pleasure amazing

I know for me you are craving

I confess I have calories many

And cost a pretty penny

But you have had several vegetables and fruits

So I will not stay mute

After all, a little naughtiness you deserve

Your healthy habits a bite will not pierce

I’ve been sitting here for so long

Let one step of yours be wrong

You know your trolley is dying for me

Of my plastic I want to be free

I am anxious to give you pleasure

That no amount of correct diets can measure

Yourself just this once, do indulge

Your secret your hips will not divulge

So do give in

I am an innocent sin
