The 2008 animated film, Hulk vs. Wolverine, features Deadpool with reference of the Weapon X program.
Ryan Reynolds played the character, Deadpool, in the 2009 feature film, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which starred the staple lead X-Men star, Hugh Jackman.
Reynolds is returning to the character role in a Deadpool film in 2016. Deadpool is rumored to be breaking the forth wall in this film just as he is known to do in the comics.
While Deadpool is only featured occasionally in X-Men comics, the 2016 film is said to be considered part of the X-Men movie franchise.
