Summary

So now, we really have reached the end of the Beginner’s Guide to Correlation Analysis, and I hope you got something useful out of it.

We discovered that:

• associations and correlations are really just statistical tools to find out whether there is evidence of the existence of a relationship between variables
• statistical significance can often be judged by eye if an appropriate visualisation is used (but you still need to run the test to be sure!)
• having a holistic strategy of univariate and multivariate tests to discover all the relationships in your dataset will make your analysis go that bit smoother
