“My message is love of country and I think we ought to appreciate what we’ve got,” observed Kathryn Sisson. “No country on earth has what we have.” Newspaper reporter, publicist and author of numerous articles and books, Mrs. Sisson was a lifelong member and Vice Regent of the Boca Raton chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She served as a vice president of the National League of American Penwomen, and was a member of the Women’s National Book Association, Society of Midland Authors and the Children’s Reading Round Table of Chicago. Children’s books penned in addition to John Hancock, Independent Boy include Eddie Rickenbacker, Boy Pilot and Racer; Black Hawk, Young Sauk Warrior and Famous American Patriots for Young People, which earned Mrs. Sisson the Dolly Madison Award from the Sons of the American Revolution.
