Remove
the
toasted
bread
from
the
skillet and
add
the
remaining
tablespoon
of
butter.
When
it
has
melted,
add
the
remaining
2
pieces
of
bread
and
toast
them
as
before.
Top
with
some
of
the
garlic
mayonnaise
and
the
remaining
slices
of
cheese.
8. Place a patty on a piece of toasted bread and smother it with the sautéed onion. Cover with the additional toasted bread and cheese and heat through.
9. Slice the sandwiches in half and serve warm.
Serves 2
Make sure when you assemble the patty melts that each one has slices of Swiss
and slices of Cheddar. For garlic lovers, roast whole peeled cloves in a hot oven
with a little olive oil and add an extra clove or two when making these
sandwiches.
