Original Sausage Sandwich

FAVORITE HAMBURGER SAUCE WITH THE ADDITION OF WORCESTERSHIRE.
1 pound Bob Evans bulk sausage
4 hamburger buns, split in half
4 slices American cheese
1 medium red onion, sliced in 1 / 4 -inch slices 1 / 2 cup Old Route 35 Sauce, or other burger sauce 1. Light a charcoal barbecue or heat a gas grill to medium. Clean the grate and coat it with vegetable oil.
2. Slice the package of sausage equally into 4 pieces and remove the plastic packaging. Gently press each section into a patty.
3. Grill the sausage patties 4 to 5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
4. Place a cooked patty on a hamburger bun and top with a slice of cheese and 2 onion rings. Drizzle with sauce.
