Memphis Dry Rub Ribs

THIS IS A CLASSIC DRY RUB THAT CAN BE USED ON CHOPS AND CHICKEN AS WELL AS RIBS. YOU CAN USE THE BARBECUE SAUCE AS A LIGHT GLAZE OR SERVE ON THE SIDE.

Dry Rub 1 / 4 cup sweet paprika 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar 1

tablespoon black pepper 1 tablespoon kosher salt

1 1 / 2 teaspoons celery salt 1 teaspoon granulated garlic 1 teaspoon dry mustard

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon minced dried onion 1 / 4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 rack baby back ribs

1 cup barbecue sauce

1. Whisk all the Dry Rub ingredients in a bowl until well blended.

2. Rub the Dry Rub over the ribs and coat both sides with some of the barbecue sauce. Wrap the rack in plastic and marinate overnight.

3. Light a charcoal barbecue or heat a gas grill to medium or medium-low. Clean the grate and coat it with vegetable oil.

4. Unwrap the ribs and set the rack bone side down on the grill. Close the lid and grill the ribs until tender, turning occasionally, and baste with the remaining sauce.
