Steak Rub
USE THIS WET RUB AS A BASTING SAUCE FOR CHICKEN, RIBS, CHOPS, AND STEAKS. IT
CAN ALSO BE USED AS A SPICY DIPPING SAUCE FOR FRIED CHICKEN AND WINGS. FOR A
TEX-MEX SURPRISE, MAKE IT THE BASE OF YOUR NEXT BARBECUED CHICKEN PIZZA!
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar 1 tablespoon ancho chili powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 / 2 teaspoon cumin 1 / 2 teaspoon granulated garlic 1 / 2 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1. Whisk together the Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and vinegar. When smooth, whisk in the remaining spices. The consistency should be a thick paste. If too dry, add a little more vinegar or water.
2. Rub over both sides of meat or chicken, coating thoroughly in an even, thin layer.
3. Brush a little more rub over each item on the grill, but do n’ t let it blacken.
