Sesame Chicken
Chinese Version of Chicken with Sesame and Sauce
Recipe:
In a 2L Magic pot deluxe
layer as below,
- 3Tbsp oil
- 250g boneless chicken
strips
- In PIP mix 2Tbsp honey
, 1Tbsp each (tomato ketchup, vinegar, soy sauce)
, 2tsp brown sugar
, 1tsp each (maida, cornflour, garlic powder
)
Cook on high for 5 whistles / 4 mins
ReleaseĀ pressure. Open, remove PIP and mix all with 2Tbsp white sesame
seeds, 1/4C chopped spring onion
& serve.
Replace / supplement:
Chicken with prawns, fish fillets
Garlic powder with minced garlic
Oil with butter
Tips:
Mix the slurry well without lumps
Sauce thickens over cooling
Can also add honey after cooking
