Mulled Spice Banana Smoothie

The flavor of banana gets a special kick with the addition of mulling spices. This thick treat is sure to satisfy. If you find it to be too thick for your liking, add ¼ cup of water.

Makes 2 Smoothies

Ingredients

1 banana, peeled and broken into chunks

1 cup plain nonfat French vanilla yogurt

¾ teaspoon mulling spice

Directions

Step 1: Place banana chunks, yogurt, and mulling spice in a blender.

Step 2: Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

Mulling Spice

1 ½ cups brown sugar

¾ tablespoon ground cinnamon

½ tablespoon orange peel

½ tablespoon ground cloves

½ tablespoon ground allspice

¼ tablespoon ground nutmeg

Mix all together and store in an airtight container.
