Spiritual growth is unwinding the perception that we are separate from God, correcting the misperceptions that lead us to believe He/She is outside of us. It is remembering that God is within, has always been there, and will ever be there. We were birthed from God and although we may feel there a distance between God and us, there is none. We have spent eons of time and energy creating a perceived distance, but we cannot succeed in making that distance real; it only exists in our flawed awareness. We cannot withdraw from God no matter how hard we try. Everything we do to foster separation just puts another covering on His/Her light, and everything we do to trust, love, and know Him/Her removes the coverings to reveal God’s—our —divine magnificence. Either way, God is there in us, for us, as us .
To grow spiritually, we need to live and be with love and light, without being swayed by the bountiful distractions we find in our culture and society today that feed the voice of our ego. That is just noise on top of a divine symphony that we desire greatly to hear more clearly. Every small decision we make to listen to the soft voice within furthers our journey on this path.
Look around and see what you have created in your environment and learn from it. Forgive those who you perceive persecute you, have compassion for those who cannot see what is within, and love all. There is nothing greater than this and the rewards are infinite.
Thank you for taking this journey. Be blessed .
