FLAVORED BUTTERS FOR QUICK BREADS
Each recipe makes about ½ cup and can be stored in the refrigerator for about 1 week.
MOLASSES-PECAN BUTTER
Using stand mixer fitted with whisk, whip 8 tablespoons softened butter on medium speed until smooth, about 30 seconds. Add ¼ cup toasted and chopped pecans, 4 teaspoons light molasses, 2 teaspoons sugar, ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract, and pinch salt and whip until combined, about 15 seconds, then increase speed to high and whip until very light and fluffy, about 2 minutes, scraping down bowl as needed.
SWEET ORANGE BUTTER
Using stand mixer fitted with whisk, whip 8 tablespoons softened butter on medium speed until smooth, about 30 seconds. Add 2 teaspoons sugar, 1 teaspoon orange zest, ⅛ teaspoon vanilla, and pinch salt and whip until combined, about 15 seconds, then increase speed to high and whip until very light and fluffy, about 2 minutes, scraping down bowl as needed.
WHIPPED HONEY BUTTER
Using stand mixer fitted with whisk, whip 8 tablespoons softened butter on medium speed until smooth, about 30 seconds. Add 1 tablespoon honey and pinch salt and whip until combined, about 15 seconds, then increase speed to high and whip until very light and fluffy, about 2 minutes, scraping down bowl as needed.
